Introducing Dark Cane Cola

We are so thrilled to bring you our grand dame of mixers, Top Note Tonic's Dark Cane Cola, is coming back! When we went back to the drawing board for our Cola, we wanted to harken the days of the original soda fountains. When cola was first made, it was a mix of very complex botanicas like neroli oil and vanilla. Our Dark Cane Cola is, made with rich cinnamon, orange peels, and lime, to create a sumptuous treat - ready to serve on it's own, or mix with the best bourbons, fernets, rums without shame.

Original colas were also made with cane sugar, a complex botanical as well. Many don't realize, cane sugar has flavor, that is rich. But often it is stripped out when refined. Why? Original reining process was meant for candy. But for beverages, some minerality and flavor may be desired. So we added back the dark cane part to our cola; the molasses. This provides a deep, complex character, some minerality, and indeed color. Even with molasses added, we kept the sweetness amount level and not overdone. In our opinion, there is no reason to drink 140 calories of High Fructose Corn Sugar (which you get in a standard can of the other brands). Our bottles only have 99 calories in each bottle, enough to make two cocktails, or one afternoon drink on its own.

Other key differences; We also made sure the caffeine in this cola is organic, made from the green coffee bean. This source of caffeine gives you a nice lift without the jitters. Only 35 mg/bottle. The caffeine source makes a difference for a more pleasant drinking experience.
