 Irish Ale Recipe:

1.5 oz Irish whiskey

5 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

Garnish: lime wedge

Stir ingredients together in an ice-filled glass and garnish.

Inspired by Lost Valley Cider Co. in Milwaukee, WI, this low-ABV radler is autumn in a glass.

Cider & Ginger Recipe:

4 oz Sparkling Hard Apple Cider

4 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

Garnish: crystallized ginger, fresh lime wheel

Build in an ice-filled glass and garnish.

Glasgow Mule

The Glasgow Mule is a smoky and floral spin on the more ubiquitous Moscow Mule. Both recipes are built on a foundation of spirit, citrus and Ginger Beer, but the Glasgow Mule features the addition of sweet, fragrant Elderflower Liqueur and spiced Angostura Bitters for a more complex drinking experience.

Glasgow Mule Recipe:

2 oz blended Scotch whisky

.5 oz Elderflower Liqueur

.75 oz lemon juice

3 dashes Angostura bitters

4 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

Garnish: fresh lemon wheel, crystallized ginger

Stir all ingredients together in a mule mug or tall glass. Top up with crushed ice and garnish.

Here in the Midwest as we round the corner into November and begin to settle into our cold-weather routines, we find ourselves turning to festive flavors like cranberry and ginger to take the chill out of our bones and the edge off of our days.

Harvest Moon Punch Recipe:

2 oz vodka

.5 oz cranberry liqueur

2 oz unsweetened cranberry juice

.5 oz lemon juice

2 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

Garnish: cranberries, fresh or dehydrated citrus (optional)

Stir ingredients together with ice and garnish if desired.

The Transfusion is a golf club staple, but even if you’ve never picked up a golf club, this recipe makes for a uniquely delicious way to transition into cold-weather cocktails. If you don’t happen to have Concord grapes on hand, red or black grapes can be substituted, and Concord grape juice can be found at most major grocers. For a spirit-free version, just leave out the vodka!

Transfusion Recipe:

2 oz vodka

.5 oz Ginger Beer reduction*

.5 oz lime juice

2 oz Top Note Club Soda No. 1

Concord grape juice ice cubes**

Garnish: fresh Concord grapes and crystallized ginger

Combine all ingredients except the Club Soda in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass over Concord grape juice ice cubes. Top with club soda, stir, and garnish.

*Ginger Beer Reduction: Pour an 8.5 oz bottle of Top Note Ginger Beer into a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 15 minutes or until reduced by half. Remove from heat and let cool. Keep refrigerated.

**Concord Grape Juice Ice Cubes: Pour Concord grape juice into an ice cube tray and freeze for at least 8 hours.

Spirit-Free Mule Recipe:

.5 oz lime juice

.5 oz Royal Rose Ginger Lime Syrup

5 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

1 oz Top Note Club Soda No. 1

Garnish: lime wedge

Stir all ingredients together in an ice-filled rocks glass or Mule mug and garnish.

In this spirit-free riff on the classic Dark & Stormy, coconut water subs in for rum for a cool tropical twist.

Dry & Stormy Recipe:

4 oz coconut water

.5 oz lime juice

4 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

Garnish: crystallized ginger and fresh lime wedge, optional

Stir all ingredients together with ice and garnish.

Cran-Apple Ginger Spritz

This festive low-ABV spritz will carry you through a night of merriment without leaving you with a headache the next day.

Cran-Apple Ginger Spritz Recipe:

4 fresh cranberries

1 slice fresh ginger

1 oz cranberry liqueur

3 oz apple cider

3 oz Top Note Club Soda No. 1

1 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

Garnish: fresh cranberries and orange slices

Muddle the cranberries and ginger in a cocktail shaker, then add the liqueur, cider, and ice. Shake and double strain into a chilled flute or wine glass. Top with Ginger Beer and Club Soda, stir gently, and garnish.

Old Jack Horner Recipe:

1.5 oz Jim Beam Bonded Kentucky Straight Bourbon

1.5 oz umeshu (plum wine)

.75 oz lemon juice

.5 oz maple syrup

3 oz Top Note Ginger Beer

Garnish: fresh lemon slices

    Combine all ingredients except Ginger Beer in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Top with Ginger Beer, stir, and garnish.
